05/05/2010 New Brochure available to download Our new 2010 Human Factors & Business Change capability brochure is now available for download.
09/04/2010 MBCL completes HF study for SPT We completed a human factors study in support of bus operations at Buchanan Bus Station on behalf of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT).
05/01/2010 MBCL launches new logo and site look & feel A new decade and a new look for the MBCL site.  We've changed the logo with a lot of help from Qube Creative Services and think it looks rather nice.  We'd love to hear your views on the logo and site look and feel.  
01/12/2009 Human Factors & Business Change services pages updated We've given the MBCL services pages a winter tidy-up and moved stuff around a bit.  I hope you find the website easy to navigate and can find what you are looking for.  As ever, any comments on usability or content will be gladly received - you're never too experienced to learn something new :o)
11/11/2009 HF support to army comms user trial MBCL is supporting the user assessment of comms equipment for the British Army.
20/06/2009 Human Factors standards page updated We've given the human factors standards page an fresh coat of paint and pulled in some of the newer W3C and usability standards.  Enjoy....and let us know if you know of others that need to be included.
13/10/2008 MBCL joins the Professional Contractors Group (PCG) The PCG provides advice and support to small businesses and professional contractors. 
01/08/2008 MBCL supports MPS Business Change Programme MBCL is pleased to be supporting the Improving Policing Information (IPI) programme delivering products and services including training strategy, training analysis, training management, e-learning design and behavioural change support.
18/01/2008 New look and feel to website The whole website has been given a shake-up.  We think it looks quite nice.  Please tell us what you think.

30/07/2007 MBCL is 3 today We have now been in business for three years.   Happy birthday MBCL!!
01/02/2007 MBCL supporting MoPI programme MBCL is supporting the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) on the Management of Police Information (MoPI) programme.  MBCL has completed a number of supporting roles including policy review, training analysis, compliance management, programme senior management and business change organisation design and preparation.
15/01/2007 MBCL completes FRES TDP MBCL has completed its commitment on the FRES Technology Demonstrator Programme and has conducted a detailed task analysis, user requirements generation and development of crewstation designs.
30/7/2006 MBCL is 2 today We have now been in business for two years.   Happy birthday MBCL!!
10/7/2006 MPS MOPI Training Development MBCL take a key role in the design of the MPS training solution for MOPI.
07/06/2006 Ergonomics Society Registered Consultancy MBCL is pleased to announce that we have achieved 'Registered Consultancy' status with the Ergonomics Society.
08/05/2006 MPS MOPI capability review MBCL commences a policy and process review in support of the MPS preparations for compliance with the Guidelines for Management of Police Information (MOPI).

30/12/2005 MBCL welcomes Steven Wilson & Iain MacLeod to the Associates Network We now have four associates signed up in our network and are looking for more ergonomists or others with related disciplines that we could call upon as needed.  Please visit our associates pages for more information.
28/11/2005 Central London LA CCTV control centre human factors review We provided support to the Met Police by conducting a review of the interactions between the Local Authority CCTV control centres and the Metropolitan Police C3i centres, and provided guidance on human factors best practice to the Local Authorities.

09/09/2005 MBCL joins FRES programme MBCL is pleased to announced our involvement in the Future Rapid Effects System (FRES) within Team ISIS.  Matt is the Human Factors Engineering Manager for team ISIS.  See the FRES wikipedia entry for more information.
01/09/2005 MPS Integrated Communication Control System (ICCS) MBCL completed a wide ranging human factors and ergonomics programme of work in support of the integration and test phase of the Metropolitan Police Service procurement of the ICCS. 
11/08/2005 Matt awarded Fellowship of the Ergonomics Society Matt is delighted to have been awarded Fellowship of the Ergonomics Society.
17/05/2005 Haldane-Spearman consortium wins major MoD research programme MBCL is delighted to announce that the Haldane-Spearman Consortium of which we are a member has been successful in being awarded the enabling agreement to provide broad ranging human sciences research to the MoD.  Read the press release.
02/02/2005 Police control room Human Factors  assessment MBCL commences work on major programme to assess the operational performance of a new Metropolitan Police Service command, control and communication system.
22/01/2005 MBCL joins FSB We have joined the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) in order to gain access to an excellent network of business contacts plus the benefits of the legal protection and legislative information that this membership provides.
09/01/2005 Associate network area refresh With two independent consultants joining our associate network, this area of the website has been refreshed with a new layout, details of our associates and the ability to apply on-line to join the programme.
21/12/2004 MBCL Joins Haldane-Spearman consortium We  have joined the Qinetiq team, branded 'Haldane-Spearman consortium', to bid for a major MoD research programme titled 'Preparing People for Operations - Human Contributions to Effectiveness'. 
11/11/2004 Site map page added The site map provides a simple navigation tool for the website, and apparently search engines love site maps!
02/11/2004 Apache Occupational Health assessment completed MBCL (contracted via Aspect Assessment) conducted an occupational health and ergonomics assessment of the Apache simulator training facility on behalf of ATIL.  Assessing the Instructors Operating Station (IOS) for ergonomics compliance with key human factors international and defence standards, identifying occupational health issues with its use, and also evaluated the usability of the human machine interface.
 After the assessment Matt was strapped into the simulator which features a head tracking visual projection system and took the controls of the deadliest helicopter in the world - nice!
